Thirteen chambers and one national round

Companies enter through their regional chamber. Each chamber has its own committee, its own dates and its own award ceremony. The entries a chamber sends on are judged again in the national round.

All of it runs in one app. The organiser sees every chamber in one list, a chamber sees its own entries, and an entry moves up to the national round from the same screen that shows its scores.

Scoring by the programme's own criteria

A judge opens an entry, reads what the company wrote, and scores it against the five criteria GZS set. Each criterion carries its own share of the total, and the total is worked out while the judge scores.

The rules of the programme are built into the app. A judge works from the scoring sheet the chamber set, and the app works out the total and the recognition that follows from it.

Certificates used to be prepared in an Excel workbook with macros. Today the app prepares them.

1,410 award videos, made unattended

Every entry also got its own branded 35-second video, carrying the text of the entry and a Slovenian voiceover. For 235 entries from 13 regions that came to 1,410 videos, six versions of each while we compared voice providers.

No editor cut a single one. They render on Everyframe, our own video engine. A pipeline that is wired wrongly stops there before the first frame, rather than at the two hundredth video.

The voiceover checks technical Slovenian terms against the country's official lexical database, and the narration is fitted to each video's length, so none of them ends in silence. The videos played at the award ceremony, in front of the people whose innovation was on the screen.
